Exploring Ephesians
10. What is marriage for?
[Ephesians 5:21-33]

Review what you have read about in Ephesians so far about what it looks like to live as a believer in Christ. Asking for one word answers to each of the questions from lessons 2-11 is a good way to get the conversations started. What key themes did you didn’t you cover?

Reading: Ephesians 6:10-24

v10 From the aspects of Christian living we’ve read about so far, which do people need the Lord’s mighty power for?
v11-13 Why do we need the Armour of God?
v14-17 What parts of the body are covered by this armour, and what’s their significance (think metaphorically)? Where do all these pieces of armour come from? What does each piece of armour defend you against and how?
v18
What does it mean to pray in the Spirit?
v18-24 What can you be praying for the Lord’s people? What could people be praying for you?

Extra Activities: In small groups either work on a short drama about how the Ephesians respond to part of the letter they received, or produce an advert for each part of the Armour of God.
